In an effort to drive awareness of voluntary regulation within the NHS, we approached the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) about submitting an article to be included in the monthly NHS General Practice (GP) Bulletin.

The NHS GP Bulletin was relaunched this autumn and is distributed once a month. It includes information and resources relevant to the primary care audience, including General Practitioners (GPs), practice managers and nurses.

CNHC worked with PSA to draft an article about the Accredited Register (AR) scheme and how the AR workforce can support GPs fighting public health challenges. The article includes a link to the Untapped Resources report and to the PSA blog about how the AR workforce can make a difference to public health.

This message is a great step forward to make the primary care workforce aware of Accredited Registers and to provide a level of reassurance for those professions not regulated by law.
